Pine Insert
This is a property at Mornington.
Love how the fence line is designed to feature a small pine on the turn of the structure right by the two mailboxes.

Picket Fence?
Think picket fence and you would usually think "small" and maybe "white".
This one at Tyabb on the Mornington Peninsula dispels that idea.

Quiet Elegance
Interesting design and colour scheme for this entrance to a Mornington property.
The wrought iron on brick, for most of the fence line, seems rather plain until the added pillar feature round the gate area.
Embedded in the pillars are two letterboxes.
The one on the far right is for larger magazines and circulars and the closer foreground one is for letters.

Wizard Wells Mailbox
Mailbox at Wizard Wells, Red Hill on the Mornington Peninsula.
Wizard Wells is a wine storage and transport business for the many wineries on the peninsula.

Matching Borders
At this residence in Moorabbin, an inner suburb of Melbourne, the black fence line matches the balcony border.
And the mailbox is a shiny silver contrast.

Welcome
I have always been fascinated by the unusual mailboxes and fences, garden borders and rock walls and gates and even grave borders in Australia.
At one stage in 2009, I ran a meme called Mailbox Monday on my Greyscale Territory blog.
Since then, occasional prompts let me air my love of mailboxes and borders of all kinds,
but somehow that does not seem enough.
Today, wandering Moorabbin, an inner suburb of Melbourne, I saw a wonderful range of fences.
The time has come to give borders and mailboxes a special place.
The above photo is of a fence and mailbox on Jasper Road, Moorabbin.
Welcome to a blog all about mailboxes and boundaries.
